Meet the Medical Staff

Amie Aslami, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Aslami completed her residency and internship in psychiatry at the University of Utah. She is currently the primary provider on our Adult Psychiatric Unit. She has over 20 years of psychiatric inpatient and outpatient experience. Dr. Aslami is a wonderful and compassionate psychiatrist who provides our patients with outstanding expertise in the assessment and treatment of both mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Michael Harrigan, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Harrigan completed his psychiatric residency and Internship at New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Harrigan is the primary provider on our acute psychiatric “crisis stabilization unit”. The treatment on this unit focuses on adults who need a considerably high level of structure and support to overcome acute psychosis, severe mood instability, and aggressive behavior.

Michael Marcum, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Marcum completed his residency and internship in psychiatry at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Marcum comes to SLBH with over 38 years of experience in psychiatry, including a myriad of both direct care and hospital leadership roles. Dr. Marcum works as the primary provider for our Intensive Outpatient Program and is also the hospital’s Medical Director, overseeing all psychiatric and medical services.

Thomas Cooper, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Cooper is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, having received his degree from the University of Utah. He is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Dr. Cooper works primarily on our military specialty trauma units, having completed his military service with the 328th Combat Support Hospital, including a one year combat deployment to Iraq from 2008 through 2009.

Rachel Goldman, PA
Physician Assistant

Rachel received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Slippery Rock University. Rachel has a plethora of experience with both psychiatric and medical treatment of adolescent and adult populations and is currently working on our dual diagnosis unit with our detox and general adult populations.

Adam Pendleton, MD, MBA
Dr. Pendleton completed his psychiatric residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Pendleton is the primary provider of the general adult psychiatry and medical detox units of our hospital.

Brittany Bullock, DNP, APRN
Dr. Bullock had 13 years of progressive nursing experience before receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah and becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She contributes to the treatment team at SLBH by being involved in patient management, education and advocacy, and is a provider for our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program.

Bozena “Bo” Montes, ACNP, AG-ACNP
Bo Montes received his Master’s from the University of South Florida and his post-master’s education from the University of Central Florida. He has experience in the fields of both mental health and addiction medicine, and currently assists on the hospital’s medical detox and adult psychiatry units.

Caleb Wright, NP
Caleb Wright worked as a psychiatric nurse at our hospital prior to receiving his Master of Science in Nursing from Marquette University and his PMHNP-BC Certificate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. He currently assists on the military trauma units of the hospital.
